Hi, I'm Alex, founder of Fat Soaps a small, family run business dedicated to truly natural, nourishing skincare.

It all started with our family's love of bacon, turning leftover rendered lard into luxurious cold-process soaps just for us. They worked so well leaving my dry skin soft, hydrated, and truly happy that friends and family began asking for them. We started rendering tallow and lard in larger batches, crafting gentle, deeply moisturizing fat-based bars free from harsh chemicals. Pairing these soaps with our tallow-based whipped balms creates a complete line of nourishing essentials that leave skin feeling truly cared for.

When my daughter battled persistent dry, itchy skin with no relief from conventional products, we turned to tallow balm. By experimenting with ratios of our animal fats and jojoba oil, we found the perfect balance a deeply moisturizing balms that finally soothed her and quickly became a customer favorite.
